Western Michigan senior quarterback Jon Wassink was named one of the 12 finalists for the Campbell Trophy on Wednesday, an award that honors postgraduate scholarships for combined athletic, academic and leadership abilities.
Wassink, along with 11 other recipients, will receive the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Award. Each finalist will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2019 NFF National Scholar-Athlete class and will travel to New York City for the 62nd NFF Annual Award Dinner on Dec. 10.
At the event, one member of the class will be declared the winner of the 30th William V.
