Western Michigan men's basketball can't solve Miami's changing defenses

KALAMAZOO, MI — Miami (OH) may be one of the worst teams in the Mid-American Conference, but the RedHawks pose a unique challenge for opponents.

While some teams dominate with one base defense – Eastern Michigan, for example – Miami possesses numerous defenses and the RedHawks mix them up constantly throughout the game.

Tuesday night, Miami got the best of Western Michigan as the Broncos dropped their third straight game, 45-44.

"It was just a nasty game," WMU's Tucker Haymond said. "We knew what kind of game it was going to be.
