KALAMAZOO, MI — Western Michigan football fans can breathe a sigh of relief heading into Saturday's matchup with Illinois.
Junior linebacker Robert Spillane has been reinstated for Saturday's game against the Fighting Illini after being ejected from the Broncos' 70-21 win over North Carolina Central.
Spillane was called for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, the second late in the third quarter, and was forced to leave the field of play.
Western Michigan rolls North Carolina Central for best start since 1994
Western Michigan was last 2-0 in 1994 when it went 5-0 to start the season.
