Western Michigan hockey snaps losing streak with 7-3 win over Colorado College

KALAMAZOO, MI – The losing streak is over.

The Western Michigan hockey team beat Colorado College 7-3 Friday at Lawson Arena to snap an eight-game skid. The Tigers and Broncos entered the game tied in last place in the NCHC standings with six points each.

WMU had been outscored 40-9 during the skid and hadn't scored more than two in a single game. The Broncos' seven goals Friday were a season-high.

Western Michigan coach Andy Murray said it was good to walk into the locker room after the game and see smiles on players' faces.
