The Western Michigan University football team announced on Friday the addition of three games against Big Ten Conference opponents to their future schedules.
The Broncos added games against the University of Michigan on September 4, 2021, the University of Iowa on September 2, 2023, and the University of Illinois on September 20, 2025. This is in addition to games against Michigan State University in 2019, 2022, and 2025, and each game will receive guaranteed payouts to the football program.
“Not only do these types of games offer great exposure for our student-athletes and our University, but they are also important in our financial sustainability,” WMU Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard said in a statement.
