The Western Michigan Broncos were defeated by the San Jose State Spartans 34-6 on Saturday night.
Quarterback Jack Salopek did not play with an upper-body injury while Mareyohn Hrabowski got his first collegiate start. Hrabowski went 5-for-9 for 63 yards and had 14 rushes for 28 yards. Running back Sean Tyler got the bulk of touches in the game with 18 carries for 66 yards.
SJSU quarterback Chevan Cordeiro went 17-for-28 for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Kairee Robinson also had two touchdowns, rushing for 81 yards on 13 carries.
Discipline was non-existent from the start.
