Western Michigan football redshirt senior Wesley French was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List on Wednesday, an award presented annually to the most outstanding center in NCAA Division I college football.
French steps in at center for the Broncos in 2020 after missing all of last season with a foot injury injury, where he will take over for Luke Juriga, who is now with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.
French spent the 2015-17 seasons on the Broncos offensive line before transitioning to the defensive line during the spring of 2018. In the spring of 2020, French moved back over to the offensive line.
