KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team continued its winning ways on Thursday afternoon, defeating Miami 1-0 at the WMU Soccer Complex. The win pushes the Broncos to 8-3-3 overall and 4-0-3 in Mid-American Conference play.
got the first two shots of the game, with both coming in the opening 10 minutes of the match. Just under 20 minutes into the first half, Miami would get two corner kicks, but the WMU defense stood tall and stopped the threat.
Neither team could find much offense in the half, as the two squads combined for just three shots in the final 17 minutes of the half.
