Week Ten Preview

Prestigious Honors
• Western Michigan quarterback Zach Terrell was honored this week by two organizations who recognize both on field and off the field accomplishments.

• Terrell was named a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete, as he is just one of 12 players across all divisions of collegiate athletics from Division I to NAIA to be honored. There were a total of 156 nominees.

• Terrell also was named a semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy. He is among just 10 players from an original watch list of 88 who were named this summer.

• This would be the second time in Western Michigan history a player has been considered for both the Wuerffel Trophy and an NFF Scholar Athlete after Tim Hiller won both awards in 2009.
