SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan volleyball team split with Seton Hall and Notre Dame on the final day of the Golden Dome Invitational on Saturday. WMU defeated SHU 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-20) and fell to the host Fighting Irish 0-3 (15-25, 27-29, 16-25).
In the morning match the Broncos made quick work of the Pirates in the three-set sweep. Kate Carey, Olivia Kofie and Sydney LeMay all earned double-digit kills. Kofie led the way with 11, while Carey and LeMay each had 10. For Carey it was her first time reaching double-digit kills in just her second collegiate game.
