GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Western Michigan volleyball team began its spring season with three matches at Aquinas College over the weekend.
The day started against the University of Michigan. The Broncos battled with the Wolverines the entire match, eventually falling 29-27 and 25-20. The team saw good play from the middles against the physical Maize & Blue, but unfortunately Michigan was a little too much at the end of each set.
The next match saw WMU take on Michigan State, beating the Spartans in three sets. The Broncos came out in the first set serving tough and causing problems for MSU.
