Western Michigan (12-11, 3-8 MAC) dropped a tough four-set match against rival Central Michigan (19-4, 9-2 MAC). The Broncos started out strong taking the first set 25-22, before dropping the next three; 14-25, 19-25 and 22-25. With the loss the Broncos rank fifth in the MAC West with five games remaining.
Despite the loss, three of the Broncos were in double digits for kills in the match. Leading the offensive charge was redshirt sophomore Charley Andrews scoring 13 kills. Just behind Andrews was sophomore Meredith Phillips and junior Rachel Bontrager contributing 12 kills each for the squad.
Keeping her great freshman season going, Rose Duffy earned her eighth double-double with 44 assists and 10 digs, now having four straight matches with over 40 digs.
