CARMEL, Ind. – Western Michigan freshman Megha Vallabhaneni sits just three shots off the lead and tied for fifth place after the opening round of IUPUI's Lady Jaguar Invitational at Plum Creek Golf Club on Saturday.
Vallabhaneni finished with a 73 (+1) and is in five-way tie for fifth. She had a round-best 15 pars on the day and finished with one birdie.
As a team, the Broncos sit tied for sixth with Detroit Mercy after combining for a 309 (+21). WMU is just one shot behind Cleveland State and Green Bay. Marian is in third at 304 (+16), with Eastern Michigan in second at 303 (+15).
