MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's basketball team was unable to overcome 20 turnovers, falling to in-state rival Central Michigan 85-64 on Saturday afternoon inside McGuirk Arena.
The Broncos committed 20 or more turnovers for the second time this season with Central Michigan capitalizing, scoring 24 points off those turnovers. WMU as a team shot 45.3 percent from the field in the loss and had two score in double figures.
Sophomore Michael Flowers led the Broncos with a game-high 27 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field. Flowers scored 11 of his 27 points in the second half and was 4-of-8 from long distance and 7-of-9 from the free-throw line.
