KALAMAZOO, MI – The sun was dipping beneath the horizon, freezing temperatures were setting in and Michael Henry's trek by foot to get home had turned into a lost wander.
The Western Michigan University football receiver's car had run out of gas on I-69 between Lansing and Flint sometime around 2 p.m. and his phone went dead shortly after. He found himself walking along Irish Road in Davison. He wasn't sure how or why he ended up so far from the car, but his mind kept telling him to get home to Flint.
But things suddenly went dark.
