CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up a weather-shortened final day of the Eastern Illinois Big Blue Classic on Saturday.
The Broncos picked up a win in the 4x100-meter run and also had a strong performance in the 1,500-meter run.
Sophomore Courtney Allen finished as the runner up in the 1,500 after running a time of 5:01.26, edging out Allison Hansen from UIC by .19 seconds. Freshman Haley Ritsema also ran well, finishing in fourth place with a time of 5:05.35.
Erica Sheahan, Madison Meredith, Alex Bryant and Diamond Mitchell combined to run a time of 50.
