MUNCIE, Ind. – The Western Michigan track and field team won the Ball State Tune-Up meet, defeating the host Cardinals, Wright State and Marian College on Friday night.
The Broncos won eight events on the night, including every field event, except the pole vault.
"The throwers always seem to do well down here and that trend continued today," said head coach Kelly Lycan.
Sophomore Abena Atuobi got the Broncos off to a hot start with a win in the shot put. Atuobi threw her second-best distance of the season at 48' 1.
