ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up its final regular season meet, competing in the Len Paddock Open on Friday at the University of Michigan.
Junior Erica Sheahan had an outdoor personal-best performance in the long jump to open the day. Sheahan reached a distance of 19' 7" (5.97m) to take second overall. The distance was also an automatic qualifier for the upcoming Mid-American Conference Championships and moved her conference ranking to fourth.
Fellow junior Erin Dowd heads into the MAC Championship with a lot of momentum after finishing in second in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles.
