CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan track and field team landed 19 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-America Conference Team for the indoor season as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Junior Brittany Hall was one of 10 student-athletes in the conference with a perfect 4.00 GPA, majoring in occupational therapy. Sarah Anderson, Erika DePierre, Erin Dowd, Taylor Fender, Kaydon Fosler, Hall, Allison Hufnagel, Jasmine McLemore, Haley Ritsema, and Erica Sheahan are all repeat honorees.
