CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Western Michigan track and field team placed 18 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, announced by the MAC on Friday morning.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
The Broncos' 18 selections were the second-most in the MAC.
Sophomores Courtney Allen, Taylor Eaton, Clare Lycan, Rebecca McNamee, Audrey Pickering, Tiere Richardson, Wynn Stitt and Olivia VandePol all earned the honors for the outdoor season for the first time in their careers.
