KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan and track and field team heads on the road for the first time this indoor season, traveling to Youngstown State University on Friday for the YSU Invitational at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
The meet begins at noon. The Broncos are one of 34 squads competing at the meet, which include Mid-American Conference competitors Buffalo, Kent State and Ohio.
WMU kicked off the season with an intrasquad scrimmage, with the Gold squad defeating the Brown squad defeating the Gold squad 70-64.
"I'm looking for the chemistry of the team to come together even more," said head coach Makiba Batten.
