KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team heads to the University of Akron and Stiles Fieldhouse for the 2020 Indoor Mid-American Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday.
This is the first MAC Championship for head coach Makiba Batten and her staff, assistant coaches Tony Filipek and Bridgette Owens.
"I'm super pumped," said Batten. "I have to keep my composure because I get excited for championships but i also want to make sure the energy is good amongst the team. I always talk about being present and being in the moment in competition, not letting your mind wander out of place.
