KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team heads to Terre Haute, Ind., for the 2016 Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State on Friday and Saturday.
The Broncos will be tested in a large field that includes the host Sycamores, Bradley, Central Michigan, Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, Loyola, Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, Bowling Green, Missouri State and Northern Illinois.
WMU competes in just three events on Friday, the 5,000-meter run, the hammer throw and the discus. The bulk of the action takes place on Saturday.
Western Michigan is coming off its lone home meet of the season and have competed in just two meets so far this outdoor season.
