KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team will open its indoor season on Friday afternoon at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open. This marks the second consecutive season the Broncos have competed at the meet.
WMU enters track and field season with a revamped roster that includes some strong veterans and a wealth of newcomers. Danielle Rinn and Kayla Schiera will spearhead the distance group after finishing the cross country season as All-MAC performers. Additionally, freshman Lillian Zelasko was highly touted coming out of high school and will provide some depth in the long-distance events.
