SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Western Michigan track and field team was able to post strong results on the opening day of the Meyo Invitational, with multiple athletes claiming top-10 marks in program history to go along with more personal bests. This marks the fourth consecutive meet that at least one Bronco has posted a top-10 time/mark.
The day began in the long jump, where Sandra Ferrari claimed a PR and the eighth best mark in program history by leaping a distance of 5.84 meters. That was good for second place in the event.
