BOSTON, Mass./ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Western Michigan track and field team split up this weekend for a pair of meets at Grand Valley State and Boston University. The squad concluded competition in Boston but will be back in action at Grand Valley State tomorrow morning.
Participating in Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational, Katelyn Spooner, Annalise James and Makayla Perez were solid in their events. Perez competed in the 5,000-meter run, where she finished 25th with a school record time of 16:03.59. She shattered the previous program record of 16:23.
