Darius Phillips has already stunned the nation so far in this 2017 football season. Through the first two games of the year, Phillips has already earned himself the title of Mac Special Teams Player of the Week twice, has two 100-yard kick return touchdowns, a fumble recovery for a touchdown, 2 interceptions, 3 pass breakups, and 1 forced fumble. He has been impressive early, against two difficult tests in the University of Southern California and Michigan State University. Expect for him to continue to play well week 3.

2. Jon Wassink, Quarterback

After Tom Flacco transferred from Western Michigan University, signs pointed to Wassink to be the starting quarterback for WMU.
