Connor Smith can potentially be the best pure hitter in the Bronco lineup this season. Last season, as a freshman, he hit .336 with a .363 on-base percentage, one home run and 24 runs batted in. More of a singles hitter, going by his stats from last year (71 hits, only seven extra-base hits), but when he gets on base, he has the ability to steal a bag or two (12 stolen bases in 2016). Now a sophomore, it will be interesting to see how he follows up his first season in college baseball.
