Three Western Michigan University hockey players received nomination for the Hobey Baker Award. Senior Colt Conrad, junior Hugh McGing and sophomore Josh Passolt were among the 83 nominees.
The award recognizes the best overall player from NCAA Division 1 Ice Hockey. According to the award committee, a nominee must display the following: “Exhibit strength and character, both on and off the ice; Contribute to the integrity of the team; Display outstanding skills in all phases of the game; Show scholastic achievement and sportsmanship.”
Through 20 games on the year, Passolt has been a revelation for the Broncos.
