KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Three Western Michigan hockey alums have made National Hockey League opening night rosters, with Paul Cotter, Jordan Oesterle and Mattias Samuelsson starting the 2023-24 season in the Show.
Cotter (2018-19) is fresh off of winning the Stanley Cup and opens the season with the Vegas Golden Knights. He played in 55 games last season, totaling 18 points on 13 goals and five assists. The 2023-24 season will be his third with the Golden Knights. Cotter enters this season having played in 62 NHL games, collecting 20 points on 15 goals and five assists.
