KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Former Western Michigan men's basketball guard Thomas Wilder has been selected as one of 64 college seniors to play in the prestigious Portsmouth Invitational, April 11-14.
The four-day, 12-game tournament will be played in Portsmouth, Va. and will be attended by representatives from all 30 NBA teams, as well as scouts from various international leagues. Last year, six players who competed at the Portsmouth Invitational were taken in the NBA Draft.
Wilder becomes the fifth player in school history to compete at the tournament, joining David Kool, Mike Williams, Shayne Whittington and Saddi Washington.
