KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Western Michigan sophomore point guard Thomas Wilder was named the men's basketball Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, Monday, February 22.
Wilder averaged 25.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals over two games this past week. Wilder hit the game-tying shot to force overtime and had 24 points at Kent State Tuesday. Saturday, he poured in 26 points and dished out a career-high seven assists in WMU's 92-85 win over Central Michigan.
With the victory, WMU improved to 46-13 all-time at home against its archrivals from the north and upped its current home undefeated streak against the Chippweas to eight games, dating back to 2009.
