MUNCIE, Ind. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team came up short against Ball State on Wednesday, suffering an 80-49 defeat at Worthen Arena.
Taylor Williams led the scoring with solo double-figures at 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Williams contributed nine rebounds, dished out six assists, added four blocks, and one steal.
Hannah Spitzley had a solid performance on the boards for the Broncos, pulling down a total of 10 rebounds, four offensive and six defensive boards. Outside of Williams and Spitzley, the team struggled to find scoring options, as six players were able to combine for a total of 29 points.
