Strong Second Half Lifts WMU Past Appalachian State, 86-67

CONWAY, S.C. – At the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at Myrtle Beach, Western Michigan men's basketball scored 15 straight points to start the second half to down Appalachian State, 86-67 on Friday night inside the HTC Center.

With the victory, the Broncos will match-up with 2017 Final Four participant South Carolina for the second time in six days on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 2:00 p.m. on ESPNU. On the season, WMU has an overall record of 2-2.

Senior guard Thomas Wilder had one of his best performances of the season recording a game-high 31 points with 24 points coming in the second half.
