KALAMAZOO, MI - Western Michigan's Chukwuma Okorafor became the Broncos' third offensive lineman drafted in the past three years Friday, when the Pittsburgh Steelers selected the senior tackle in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-6, 321-pounder went 92nd overall, joining 2016 fourth-round pick Willie Beavers and 2017 second-round pick Taylor Moton in WMU's recent crop of drafted offensive linemen.
Okorafor is the third WMU player picked in Round 3 and first since defensive end Joel Smeenge went 71st overall to the New Orleans Saints in 1990.
He was the ninth offensive tackle selected in 2018 and first player selected from the Mid-American Conference.
