TEMPE, Ariz.- The Western Michigan softball team fell in a pair of games Saturday at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. The Broncos fell in game one to PAC-12 opponent Stanford, 5-1, and to Big West opponent Cal State Northridge in game two, 9-2.
WMU concludes its stay in Arizona on Sunday, playing its fourth PAC-12 team in five games, Oregon State, at 11 AM ET.
Stanford took a 2-0 lead with a run in the second and third innings in game one Saturday. Senior first baseman Jenna Faultersack hit the Broncos' first home run of the season in the top of the fifth, a solo shot to left field, that cut the deficit to 2-1.
