Tempe, Ariz. – The Western Michigan softball team opened the 2020 season today in Tempe, Ariz., at the Kajikawa Classic. The Broncos went up against Portland State and PAC-12 opponent Utah this afternoon at the Tempe Sports Complex.
WMU dropped game one to the Vikings by a 13-2 margin, the game ending after the fifth inning when Portland State scored eight runs, produced by three RBIs and four-run home run.
The Broncos scored their two runs in the bottom of the third with Portland State up 4-0, when senior hit her first home run of the season with senior on second to earn an RBI.
