AKRON, Ohio- The No. 5 seeded Western Michigan softball team was eliminated from the 2018 Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 5-2 loss against No. 3 seed Toledo Friday. The Broncos finish the season with an overall record of 29-25.
The Broncos twice held one-run leads in the game, but Toledo was able to answer each time WMU scored.
Brooke Wyman hit a one-out single in the top of the first and scored on a two-out single by Aspen Williams to put WMU in front, 1-0. Toledo tied the game with a solo home run from freshman Bailey Curry in the bottom half of the inning.
