Softball Inks Megan Welsh to 2023 Class

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University softball team and head coach Jenny Rohn announced the signing of outfielder/catcher Megan Welsh to the program's class of 2023.

A native of Mishawaka, Ind., Welsh excelled during her time at Harvard (2019-2023), starting 114 out of 120 games played. She maintained a strong .300 batting average and a .457 slugging percentage over her time at Harvard. In her senior season (2023), Welsh recorded a .325 batting average with 37 hits, including 5 doubles and 3 home runs (tied for the team's highest). She contributed to Harvard's victories as Ivy League Regular Season Champions in 2019 and 2023 and played a key role in winning the Ivy League Playoff Series against Columbia in 2019 and the inaugural Ivy League Tournament in 2023.
