KALAMAZOO, MI - After a 2017 campaign that saw Western Michigan's passing offense rank 11th out of 12 Mid-American Conference teams, at least one college football analyst expects breakout seasons from a pair of Broncos pass catchers.
In his 2018 College Football Preview magazine, Phil Steele selected six WMU football players for preseason All-MAC honors, including University of Michigan graduate transfer Drake Harris and converted tight end Giovanni Ricci.
Steele tabbed Ricci a second team all-conference pick, while naming Harris to the preseason third team.
Ricci caught 12 passes for 100 yards as a sophomore receiver before a lacerated spleen in the Broncos' Week 6 overtime win against Buffalo ended his season.
