LOS ANGELES – Trailing by three runs late the Western Michigan baseball team scored six runs on three hits in the seventh inning to capture an 8-4 victory over the University of Southern California on Saturday afternoon at Dedeaux Field.
The Broncos secured their first win of the 2020 campaign while earning their first win over a Pac-12 school since 1989 when WMU defeated USC in the NCAA Midwest Regional. With the win WMU tied the three-game series with the Trojans and will seek
its first series victory over a Power Five school since 1997 on Sunday.
