CLEVELAND – Western Michigan men's soccer senior forward Charlie Sharp has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the third time in its 2022 season.
Sharp tallied two goals in Western Michigan's 4-0 win at Detroit Mercy last Wednesday, extending its program record winning streak to nine games. Sharp then helped WMU control possession in its 0-0 tie at Northern Illinois on Sunday, extending Western Michigan's unbeaten record to ten. WMU outshot NIU 17-3. Sharp recorded a total of five shots with one shot on goal, making his total shots for the week eight with three shots on goal.
