TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Midfielder Charlie Sharp has been named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman Second Team for the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season.
Charlie appeared in all 19 games for Western Michigan during his inaugural campaign, leading his team with seven goals and 16 points. Sharp had an outstanding October, recording points for the Broncos in six consecutive matches.
He became the second WMU men's soccer player to be named the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, which he earned in November. Charlie also picked up All-MAC First Team honors and was named the MAC Player of the Week on October 15, after scoring a game winning goal at Oakland.
