MISSOURI – The Missouri Valley Conference announced its players of the week Tuesday afternoon. For the second time this season, forward Charlie Sharp has been named the MVC's offensive player of the week.
On Sunday in Western Michigan's 5-4 win over Dayton, Sharp made program history by inserting himself into sole possession of the third most games played in WMU men's soccer history with 74 and scored a hat-trick off an efficient four shots. In the process, Sharp jumped to third in the program scoring record book with 25 career goals. The senior from Brighton, Michigan, sits five goals away from claiming the second most goals in program history.
