ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up competition at day one of the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Friday night with seven different Broncos recording new personal-bests.
Senior Taylor Eaton ran a new personal-best time of 17:43.05 in the 5,000-meter run and was joined by teammate Olivia VandePol, who turned in a new career mark of 18:43.54. VandePol shaved 27 seconds off of her previous best, while Hall knocked off 15 seconds. Freshman Annalise James finished off a stellar day for the distance runners with a new PR in the mile of 5:04.
