CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan football team landed seven players on the All-Mid-American Conference team, led by First Team All-MAC selection linebacker Zaire Barnes.
Barnes had 61 total tackles in MAC play, with 2.0 for loss, 0.5 sacks, one interception and five pass breakups. Barnes also had one forced fumble and a team-best three fumble recoveries.
Wide receiver Corey Crooms, running back Sean Tyler, defensive lineman Andre Carter and defensive tackle Braden Fiske were Second Team All-MAC selections. Crooms led the Broncos with 43 receptions for 599 yards and four touchdowns in conference play.
