Ruffin Wins the Triple Jump at Cal State LA Twilight

LOS ANGELES -- The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Mt. SAC Relays and the Cal State Los Angeles Twilight Open late Thursday night.

The major highlight of the night came from senior Diaja Ruffin winning the triple jump at the Cal State LA Twilight. Ruffin recorded a huge personal-best of 12.05m (39' 6.50") to win the event. The jump also ranks third on the Mid-American Conference performance list and the fourth-best in program history.

Junior Jade McKnight reached 11.62m (38' 1.50") to take third in the event.
