CLEVELAND – Lauren Ross is on fire; Western Michigan's redshirt sophomore has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Ross topped her season high for the third straight game, scoring 35 points in Western Michigan's road victory on Saturday, Dec. 17 over the Cougars of Chicago State. Ross shot 10-for-21 from the field for 47.6 percent and went a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line. She added eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals in the Bronco victory.
The Muskegon, Mich., native leads the MAC and ranks ninth nationally at 22.
