After posting a 74.2 Z-contact percentage, Western Michigan softball senior pitcher Rissa Bajusz debuted at number five this week in the latest D1Softball.com Z-contact percentage rankings.
Z-contact measures the percentage of time a hitter makes contact when swinging at a pitch inside the strike zone.
To increase her Z-contact percentage, Bajusz has accumulated 147 strikeouts this season, which ranks 10th in the entire nation. Over her last 23.1 innings pitched, the senior has produced 31 strikeouts en route to posting a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 6.
