ESPN's Adam Rittenberg reported Tuesday Western Michigan will hire former Indiana offensive coordinator Kevin Johns as its new leader on offense.
Rittenberg said the move was first reported by FootballScoop.com.
Johns has been with Indiana since 2011 and has served in a variety of roles all centered around the offense: co-cordinator, coordinator, wide receivers and quarterbacks coach.
Before that he spent seven years as a specialty coach at Northwestern.
New Western Michigan coach Tim Lester, who was hired less than a week ago, is working on filling assistant jobs on his staff but hasn't made any official announcement yet.
